Dear Readers:

This past Monday a friend, who is the Executive Director of the National PTA, came and made a presentation to a board that I am on about the basic responsibilities of Non-Profit Boards. As I know many of you are volunteering in one way or another on church, Non-Profit, and other company, I thought that I would share with you the handouts that he provided.

It was an excellent training that gave me much to think about with regard to my responsibilities as a board member.
I hope that you find these helpful.

Cambridge Matters – Feb 1, 2019 – Chesapeake College Survey

Dear Cambridge Matters Readers:

In early January I sent out a link to a Chesapeake College – Cambridge Center Questionnaire.

We have had responses from some of you but wanted to give those of you who did not respond one last chance to provide the College with some information that will help it to find the highest and best use for their facility here in Cambridge.

The survey that we have put together will help the collee feedback from the community about how Chesapeake College could best use the Cambridge Center and also collaborate with the community, local non profits, and other groups to support its mission and the educational interests of people on the Eastern Shore.

The survey can be done quickly. It is important that as many people as possible participate in order that we can know the interests of the community and find out how best to serve it. There is space provided in the survey for you to give us your ideas on what you think and also for you to offer yourself in the event you might be a resource to the college.

Here is the link: Chesapeake College Cambridge Center Questionnaire

We will hold the survey open until the middle of the month.

For those of you who have answered already or will respond to this request, thanks for your interest and willingness to help.

Steve

Dear Readers:

Attached is my unofficial report from last evening’s meeting along with the housing report that was provided to City Council. There was too much important information in the report to try to detail it in my Cambridge Matters, so I am sharing it with you to help give you a full picture of all that is going on. I would encourage you to read it and share it with people in the city that might qualify for some housing assistance.
Thanks for reading.

Dear Readers:

Please find attached my report on last night’s City Council Meeting as well as a public information meeting held last week regarding the Mill Street School.
As I have previously mentioned, these reports are only my recollection of events and are not the official minutes of the meeting.
I hope that they help you know more about what is happening here.
