Dear Cambridge Matters Readers:

Attached is my Cambridge Matters about new initiatives that have been developed during this past year to improve educational outcomes for our children. They are multi-faceted to the extent there is too much to write about in detail, but I hope that the attached gives you an idea of what is being done and what is planned and hoped for out of these efforts.

Please read and share with anyone you know that might be interested in these issues or is already doing something to support the youth of Dorchester County.

Cambridge Matters – Sept 8, 2021 – Cambridge Shoreline Resilience Plan

Dear Cambridge Matters Readers:

Below is an email regarding upcoming public meetings to discuss the Cambridge Shoreline Resilience Plan that is being developed pursuant to the FEMA grant that the City Received last year.

Different aspects of the plan are to be discussed on September 29th and 30th  on the schedule listed below which will be at different locations.

Please share this with friends and neighbors. It is important that the group working on this effort have the opportunity to hear from as many people as possible.

PUBLIC OUTREACH

We are excited to continue our public outreach efforts.  The August 10th Open House & Listening Session was the first in a series of public meetings scheduled to further explore flood risk reduction solutions.  The project website is updated frequently, and new public outreach meeting information is posted as soon as it becomes available, under the “Public Involvement & Events” tab at: www.makecambridgeresilient.org.
At this time, public meetings to discuss project site specific flood risk reduction solutions are scheduled.

Cambridge Matters – Sept 1, 2021 – New Medical Facility and ER

Dear Readers:

I am sending along a short report on my tour yesterday of our new ER and Medical Facility. As my computer skills are limited, I will be sending a few pictures along by a separate email. My virus software gave me some trouble in downloading them, so you might have the same trouble.
It is hard to believe how long this project has been in the works and now how close we are to seeing it finalized.
